Real estate agents ask a lot of questions. I’m no exception. When interviewing sellers I get a really good feeling for them and the house by asking at least several of the following questions. Because every home is unique, every listing I take gets a unique presentation to the world – It makes a real difference in how I market YOUR home. Read the list if you don’t think it matters.
- Who designed your home?
- What is the history of your home?
- What do you love about it?
- Why did you buy it or build it?
- What will you remember?
- Where is the best window?
- What is the most beautiful thing about your home?
- Which room is your favorite?
- What little details do you treasure? What quirks?
- What momentous things have happened to you under this roof?
- Why is this a good place to live?
My point is that a house isn’t just a collection of sticks and a thing to be sold. In most cases you are not the first owner. You have been a good caretaker and now it’s time to hand it over to the next one. What appealed to you when you bought it and over the years is very important in helping me to find them.
